i love my bath. i'm getting super brave too and now i like to kick and swim and wiggle all over, especially when i'm slippery. sometimes when mommy helps me float on my back i like to surprise her and flip over suddenly onto my belly. sometimes i like to drink the water.

my first trip to the pumpkin patch

today mommy and daddy took me to the pumpkin patch to pick out my first pumpkin! we had lots of fun looking for just the right one. there were lots of families there and there was a farmer's market and a tractor ride and next year i might be big enough for the hay maze!

mimi had another kidney stone moving through her system so she had to go back into the hospital, poor mimi! we went to visit her and she said i was good medicine.

mommy and i went to a wedding with mimi and moPa and taylor and jessica. it was at a beautiful winery in yamhill county, a lovely setting. i was a very good boy throughout the entire ceremony and reception, mommy was very proud of me.

my own personal style

in the mornings when mommy is choosing my clothes i like to pull myself up on the big drawer and peer inside. today mommy let me choose my own wardrobe. i went with the red argyle socks and blue hawaiian print shorts outfit. a pastiche of travelers garments, i call it tourist chic, it's very vacay forward. i wanted to wear a straw hat and camera but mommy said i risked auntie lisa calling me fobby if i took it that far, she was probably right.

today i spent the day with auntie lisa and uncle andy again. i love it at their house. i've been working on my crawling with uncle andy. i think i'm getting the hang of it!

move over ralph macchio and hillary swank. there's a new karate kid in town. i'm down with the dojo.

tonight mommy and i played in my room. we read books, played with my blocks and pushed a big empty diaper box around the floor. i had lots of fun with the box!

popeye

today i tried spinach. it was pretty yummy but it left me with a mild rash on my face. maybe i'll wait to try it again.

family swim

when mommy was a little girl her family used to go to family swim at the community pool every wednesday night. after swimming it was a big treat to go to Burger King for "whopper wednesdays" and mommy used to eat a whole junior whopper all by herself! we had family swim today at our friend Joan's house. she has a big pool in her backyard and she let us come and swim in it. i swam with uncle daren, auntie tay, and daddy and i snoozed with moPa:









it was a super fun day.

we had lots of fun. we saw black bears and polar bears and a tiger and Hudson (he wasn't in a cage, he was there with his auntie and uncle Debbie and Paul)!

mommy was anxious for me to have some vegetables since i've been sustaining myself on fruit and rice and mommy's delightful epicurean combinations like peaches and cream (recipe: breastmilk mixed with pureed peaches) and banana rice pudding (recipe: breastmilk mixed with smashed up bananas and rice cereal). tonight mommy and daddy had peas with their dinner so i had some too and i LOVED them. yumm-o!

i'm a super good eater. so far i haven't met a fruit i didn't like. well, i didn't really love bananas at first but they're okay now. i love nectarines and peaches. mmm.

i love camping!

we had so much fun today on our camping trip! we sat around the campfire and the big people ate yummy s'mores. here are some of mommy's favorite pictures of our fun:

missing in action

well, mommy said it was inevitable. she finally missed a daily update! 42 daily updates actually. our last entry was in august and it's now early october. mommy went back to work so our blogging time has been a bit spotty but we're going to try to make up for it and catch everyone up the best we can. for now, here's a picture of me looking super cute:

today was my buddy Ethan's first birthday! it was super fun! he had a fiesta and we drove up to seattle to celebrate! his mommy and his nanny made yummy salsas and enchilladas that mommy and daddy said were SO YUMMY! Ethan opened lots of presents and he let me and my buddy Huddy play with some of them. we had lots of fun!
